Health Sector Vetting Process
The Global Vetting vision is to help Healthcare employers secure peace of mind by providing a unique service in the UK marketplace, that of supplying employers with vital information about prospective or current employees.
The Bichard report into the Soham murders highlighted the need to vet overseas workers in the countries from which they have come as well as UK nationals who have returned from abroad. Of the estimated 9 million adults who will have to register with the Independent Safeguarding Authority, it is estimated that up to 1 in 9 will be overseas workers.
Both the Public and Private Healthcare industries have large numbers of healthcare professionals who are either from overseas or are UK nationals who have returned from living abroad and the problem with current CRB checks is that they only relate to time spent in the UK. There have already been high profile cases of people working in the Health sector in the UK with criminal records from overseas which have gone undetected by CRB checks and we can now offer Employers a credible, robust solution to this very challenging issue.
