Global Vetting have identified the 54 key countries that UK nationals return from and that non-UK nationals come to the UK from. Our expertise lies in the knowledge and systems we have developed over the past 18 months allowing us to conduct complex International criminal record checks in country.
The process to obtain a check varies from country to country and we are able to carry out checks on existing staff who are already in the UK as well as for potential new starts in their country of origin.
When providing an overseas criminal record check we will provide a translation of all documents and we will also supply information about the country that the check is being carried out in which is very important in terms of how spent convictions are treated, age of consent etc.
Global Vetting are able to provide this unique service for clients in the UK offering significant peace of mind in terms of who they are recruiting.
In some instances an Overseas Criminal Record Certificate may not be the most appropriate pre-employment check on an individual e.g. in countries where there is no National database or corruption is an issue a background reference check is the most robust solution.
Background reference checks will be tailored to the clients requirements, but typically includes 5 years employment and address history with any gaps explained.
Many clients are extremely interested in this softer intelligence as this soft intelligence can provide a better insight to an individual’s background and with their Psychologists Global Vetting is also developing a next generation solution of background checking systems.
Many organisations have large vetting commitments and the process can be time consuming and a poor use of internal resources. Global Vetting are able to offer CRB, Access NI and Disclosure Scotland checks to provide a single source solution for record checking.
Establishing whether an individual is eligible to work in the UK can be a complex and time consuming process and Global Vetting’s team of experts are able to carry out checks on a case by case basis.
